Whitney Cummings “Touch Me Tour” Comes to Durham Jan. 29

DURHAM, NC October 11, 2021— Whitney Cummings brings the “Touch Me Tour” to the Carolina Theatre in Downtown Durham on Saturday, January 29. Tickets to see Whitney Cummings are $39.50 and are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com and at the venue’s website, carolinatheatre.org.

Cummings’ show will feature her signature take on the current culture and the return to touring after the COVID-19 pandemic. “Touch Me” is a play on Cummings most recent Netflix special, “Can I Touch It” and will destigmatize and celebrate the importance of being together again after over 14 months of isolation.

As the most prominent female voice in stand-up comedy, the “Touch Me” tour is a big ol’ party and a celebration of LIFE! The material is deeply personal and nostalgic, reflecting on the changes that relationships, technology, and pop culture have brought to her life and her observations of today’s society.

The Carolina Theatre will require all guests to show printed proof of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before entering the building. All guests are required to wear a face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.

The Carolina Theatre has also implemented multiple safety measures including upgrading its air filtration systems to purify indoor air quality, adding enhanced cleaning methods and touchless payment options, and increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations around the building.
