Most first-run films will have audio description and/or closed caption devices available for those who are visually or hearing impaired.
Audio description provides an ongoing oral explanation of what is happening on screen. The patron can wear a headset (which can be picked up from the Box Office), and no other guests will hear the headset audio.
Closed Caption Devices provide accurate, written captions of the dialogue on a small screen setup directly in front of the guest.
Most first-run films accommodate this technology; unfortunately, we don’t have this information until a film arrives.
All film festivals, including but not limited to the OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival and all Retro Film Series films, will not have Audio Description or Closed Captioning available unless otherwise noted.
