The Carolina Theatre Presents Family Bluegrass Show on December 4th

DURHAM, NC — November 24th, 2021 —Charles Pettee comes to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on December 4th at 11 am as part of the theater’s Family Saturday Series.
Charles Pettee’s performance will be live at the Carolina Theatre and will also be livestreamed. Tickets for the live performance are $5 and are available at the theater’s box office and at carolinatheatre.org. Tickets for the livestream will be available for purchase until Friday, Dec 3 at 4:00 pm. The first 50 patrons will receive free popcorn.
Performing on guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, and voice, Pettee brings US and NC history to life with a lively interactive performance of music from the 1800s. Students will learn about how these music forms laid the foundation for jazz, rock & roll, and hip hop.
Charles Pettee’s show is part of the Carolina Theatre of Durham’s Family Saturday Series, a family-based curated program for all ages. The series provides high quality, affordable arts experiences to introduce young audiences to the excitement of live performances, music, storytelling, and magic.
The Carolina Theatre of Durham requires all guests over the age of 12 to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours or full vaccination for entry. Additionally, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
The Carolina Theatre has also implemented multiple safety measures including upgrading its air filtration systems to purify indoor air quality, adding enhanced cleaning methods and touchless payment options, and increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations around the building.
