The Sensory Friendly Film Series offers a welcoming and supportive environment for autistic individuals and others in need of sensory accommodations. The series presents films in a comfortable environment once a month.
Tickets are free and can be reserved in advance of the film screening online, by phone at (919) 560-3030, or at our box office. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the box office thirty minutes before the film screening. If you have reserved tickets to see a Sensory Friendly film, and are no longer able to attend, please contact our box office at least 24 hours before the scheduled screening at efan@carolinatheatre.org.

The Sensory Friendly Film Series provides an environment that is accessible, welcoming, and comfortable for individuals on the spectrum.
- Lights will remain slightly up.
- The sound will be turned down.
- Audience members are encouraged to get up out of their seats, dance, walk, or sing.
- Families are permitted to bring their own snacks from home. Concessions will also be available for purchase.
- A quiet space with calming activities is available for anyone who may experience overstimulation during the film screening.
