DURHAM, NC — April 27, 2022 — Rissi Palmer comes to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on May 7th at 11 am as part of the theater’s Family Saturday Series.
Rissi Palmer’s gift lies in reaching across musical boundaries. Palmer has released two full length albums and an EP with a unique sound incorporating country and R&B music she calls “Southern Soul.” She is also a Grammy-nominated children’s artist. Her first children’s album “Best Day Ever” is filled with songs from the perspective of a child, focusing on the simple yet profound things that make life the “best day ever” for children. In 2021, she received two Grammy nominations for Best Children’s Music Album as part of the group, 1 Tribe Collective for their album “All One Tribe” and her contributions on 123 Andrés’ album “Actívate.”
