DURHAM, NC — June 12, 2023 — Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs come to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on October 3, 2023.

As a founding member and lead guitarist of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mike Campbell found himself co-writing and producing some of their biggest hits. The industry heavyweight has also penned songs for Don Henley (“Boys of Summer”), Bob Dylan, and Stevie Nicks, and played on records by Aretha Franklin, Roy Orbison, and Johnny Cash. Most recently, Campbell joined Fleetwood Mac’s 2018 World Tour on lead guitar. 

In 2020, with decades of experience as a lead guitarist, writer, and co-producer, Campbell prioritized the role as frontman to his own band Mike Cambell & The Dirty Knobs, with the release of their debut album “Wreckless Abandon.” 

The group, a longtime side project of Campbell’s, released and toured their second LP, “External Combustion” in 2022.
