Join Musical Empowerment for an eclectic and heartfelt evening of music & community as they celebrate their 20th Anniversary! All ages welcome!
About this event
Performances by Teli Shabu, Chordination A Capella (NCSU), Ally J & Kevin Clark, The Tarpeggios (UNC), Tre. Charles, The Magnolia Belles (ECU), Kiwi Combo, Shawn Ward … and more special guests are to be announced! Special guest appearances from transformative leaders in the first two decades of service: organization founder Christine Moseley, former Executive Director Meredith Richard, and special respects honoring the legacy and impact of late Joan H. Gillings. Musical Empowerment students will enjoy the VIP experience with front-row seats to this celebration of music!
Musical Empowerment is a nonprofit celebrating 20 years of service. Since 2002, Musical Empowerment has offered free music lessons to children from marginalized communities. Their college volunteers not only teach music lessons but also transform their student’s relationships with music! Students with a mentor are more likely to graduate high school, attend college and become mentors themselves.
