NC Youth Tap Ensemble: Sound in Motion
Postponed from April 25 & 26
As a precautionary measure to avoid the continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble has postponed its Sound In Motion performances originally scheduled for the Carolina Theatre of Durham on April 25 and 26. New dates will be announced in the future. All ticket buyers are encouraged to hold on to their original tickets as these will be honored on the rescheduled dates.
Those buyers who do want to have their purchases refunded may do so by going to their original point of purchase. If you purchased online, please call Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. If you purchased from the Carolina Theatre Box Office, in-person or by phone, please call (919) 560-3030 from Mon.-Fri. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. when the venue has been cleared to re-open to the public.

Join the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble as they celebrate their 37th season! Based in Chapel Hill, NCYTE has produced award winning dancers, such as Michelle Dorrance, Jason Janas, and Jared Grimes. This year’s annual show, Sound in Motion, features all 41 members of the company, age 8-18, along with guest artists and company alumni Elizabeth Burke and Luke Hickey. Sound in Motion has something for everyone- traditional jazz tap, body percussion, improvisation, and cutting-edge contemporary choreography, not to mention a live jazz band and vocalist.
