Arts Discovery Educational Series presents

Music Tells a Story

RECOMMENDED FOR GRADES K-12

Tuesday, April 6 at 10:00am

Kamara Thomas and Trio will perform original songs and covers that explore and illuminate the storytelling in songs. The audience will be invited to listen for the story in each song. Repertoire includes original songs from the storytelling work “Tularosa,” which explores the mythology of the American West through the eyes of women and people of color, as well as story-songs by well-known songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Tracy Chapman and more.

Reservation begins on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:00AM.

All school groups, including homeschools, will reserve tickets to Arts Discovery performances through Eventbrite. Please note: The Carolina Theatre of Durham remains closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. To ensure the safety and well-being of our audiences, all performances will be available virtually.

All Durham Public Schools (DPS) reservations will be made by the school-designated Arts Liaison. The Arts Liaison was appointed by each school principal to coordinate this effort. Please contact your principal for further action.
