All K-12 aged guests must wear a mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking. The City of Durham is requiring face coverings to be worn while at the theater. Kamara Thomas will perform original songs and covers that explore and illuminate the storytelling in songs. The audience will be invited to listen for the story in each song. Repertoire includes original songs from the storytelling work “Tularosa”, which explores the mythology of the American West through the eyes of women and people of color, as well as story-songs by well-known songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Tracy Chapman, and more.

Kamara Thomas interpretará canciones y covers originales que explorarán e iluminarán la narración de cuentos en las canciones. Se invitará al público a escuchar la historia que hay en cada canción. El repertorio incluye canciones originales de la obra de narración de cuentos “Tularosa”, que explora la mitología del Oeste de Estados Unidos  a través de los ojos de las mujeres y personas de color, así como canciones de cuentos de conocidos compositores como Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Tracy Chapman y más.

This year, we are offering a virtual viewing option for Fall performances. If you choose the virtual option, a link will be emailed to you before the show. The performance will go live at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the show and will be available for viewing for 24 hours.
