The Color of Money

40th Anniversary!

“The money won is twice as sweet as the money earned.” Twenty-five years after the legendary events of The Hustler, “Fast Eddie” Felson (Paul Newman) returns to the smoky, neon-lit pool halls of the Midwest, but this time as a veteran stake-horse looking for a new protege. He finds it in Vincent Lauria (Tom Cruise), a cocky, high-energy natural with a “sledgehammer” break and a lot to learn about the art of the con. Directed with electric, kinetic style by Martin Scorsese, the film is a high-stakes adrenaline trip through the grimy subculture of professional gambling. Newman’s Academy Award-winning performance is a masterclass in weary charisma, while a young Cruise radiates pure, unadulterated intensity. It’s a sleek, visceral, and razor-sharp exploration of ego, aging, and the relentless hunger to be the best. Witness the ultimate cinematic showdown where the green felt is a battlefield and every shot has a price!
