Harold Ramis’ CADDYSHACK
(R, 1980, 98 min)

It’s the snobs against the slobs! Chevy Chase, Rodney Dangerfield, and Bill Murray star in this hilarious cult hit. While caddying at a snooty country club, ambitious young Danny (Michael O’Keefe) goes for a college scholarship. But first he has to impress elitist Judge Smails (Ted Knight) and win the big golf tournament. Meanwhile, a crude construction tycoon goes to extremes to be accepted into the exclusive club, and a psychotic groundskeeper stalks a rampaging gopher. It all adds up to one of the greatest sports movies of all time and an unforgettably classic comedy.

Followed by:

Colin Higgins’ THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS
(R, 1982, 115 min)

Burt Reynolds starts as a small town Texas sheriff assisting a local madame (Dolly Parton) in keeping her brothel from closing when a nosy TV reporter (Dom DeLuise) tries to shut it down. Charles Durning earned a Supporting Actor Oscar nomination as the show-stopping governor, while Parton competed at the Golden Globes for Best Comedy/Musical Actress.
