Join the Carolina Theatre for its annual fundraiser on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m. This is a night you don’t want to miss – Bull City stars from nonprofit organizations, art institutions, and media are coming together to put on show-stopping performances to compete for your donations. This year’s Stars include Farad Ali, co-founder of ALI HEIJMEN and Principal at Point B; Rory Gillis, President of Triangle Digital Partners and co-owner of Triangle Media Partners; Jason Peace, Executive Director of Meals on Wheels of Durham; Pilar Rocha-Goldberg, President & CEO of El Centro Hispano, and Linda Shropshire, Founder of Ella West Gallery. Each Star is paired with a professional dancer to show off their weeks of hard work, with each performance followed by playful commentary from judges Adam Dickinson of Adam Dickinson Realty Group, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Rissi Palmer, and Stormie Daie of Durham’s own House of Coxx. Live auction packages and raffles are sprinkled into the fun, as well as a welcome reception with hors d’oeuvres by Chef Paris, and a special after-party with live music and an opportunity to mingle with the Stars!

This event is the Carolina Theatre’s biggest fundraising initiative, with proceeds directly supporting the nonprofit’s mission to bring vibrant, thought-provoking live events, film, and educational programs to downtown Durham, helping to build awareness of the local arts and small business community. Every year, the Carolina Theatre contributes more than $10 Million to the downtown economy, supports over 400 local jobs, and brings 22,000 nonresidents to Durham.
