Carolina Theatre to Host Town Hall Meeting

October 10, 2019 by Carolina Theatre

Proud of its place in the heart of downtown Durham since 1926, the Carolina Theatre will host a town hall meeting in its Fletcher Hall Thursday, October 10 at 5 p.m. to welcome input from its community on a strategic plan that will take the historic venue into its second century of presenting concerts, comedy and cinema in the Triangle.

Earlier this year, Carolina Theatre of Durham, Inc., the nonprofit organization that manages the city-owned building, contracted Webb Management Services, Inc., North America’s leading provider of development, planning and consulting services for arts and creative entities, to analyze the venue’s recent operations and assist the group in devising a future strategy as the institution nears its 100th anniversary.

Findings from the consulting firm’s analysis and potential investments in programming, facility improvements, and audience services will be presented at tonight’s forum. The two-hour presentation and interactive discussion is free to attend and open to Carolina Theatre fans, neighbors, and the general public. RSVP on EventBrite. There will be complimentary popcorn, fountain drinks and water.

Please join us as we discuss the Carolina Theatre of Durham and renew our commitment to work together to consider our potential to effectively engage and serve all of the Triangle now and into the future.
