Carolina Theatre of Durham’s “Cirque Immersif”: A Daringly Delirious Dinner to Launch Its Centennial Year

DURHAM, NC — November 10, 2025 —The Carolina Theatre of Durham is thrilled to announce “Cirque Immersif,” a once-in-a-century immersive dinner show that defies imagination. On February 2, 2026, audiences will step into a world where the line between stage and table disappears—where acrobats caper inches from their plates, aerialists soar overhead, and a five-course feast unfolds before their eyes.

A daringly delirious dinner like no other, “Cirque Immersif” transforms the historic Carolina Theatre into a realm of wonder and whimsy. Guests will be surrounded by sights, sounds, and sensations as the show unfolds above, beside, and even upon their tables. The evening promises to be one of the most talked-about events in the Triangle, setting the stage for the Theatre’s 100^th anniversary celebration in 2026.

“Nothing like this has ever been seen in North Carolina,” said Randy McKay, president and CEO of the Carolina Theatre of Durham. “It’s not just a performance—it’s an experience. ‘Cirque Immersif’ is the perfect way to kick off our Centennial year, celebrating a century of creativity, community, and unforgettable entertainment.”

Conceived by the Carolina Theatre, “Cirque Immersif” is produced by Circus EVO, a contemporary circus company based in North Carolina dedicated to EVOking emotion and EVOlving the circus arts. Founded in 2020 by director and producer Houston Odum, Circus EVO creates original, multidisciplinary performances that blend acrobatics, theater, and visual design to push the boundaries of live performance.

The evening’s five-course feast will be crafted by Snap Pea Creative Dining, a team of chefs passionate about transforming meals into magical experiences. Known for their luxurious pop-up dinners in extraordinary spaces—from bridges and rivers to planetariums—Snap Pea’s menus are whimsical yet approachable, inspired yet deeply personal. Led by Chef Jacob Boehm, Snap Pea creates dishes rooted in North Carolina’s vibrant farming community, with 90 percent of ingredients sourced locally, and every team member is paid a certified living wage.

Tickets for “Cirque Immersif” are now on sale and range from $173.50 to $598.50, with options designed for every level of immersion.

Guests may choose from a variety of seating experiences:

• Ring Side – Shared tables just feet from the performance seat up to ten guests, with limited intimate tables for two.
• Center Ring – A perfect view of every daring act from tables within 10 to 16 feet of the action.
• Outer Ring – Private tables for two or three offer an extraordinary vantage point less than 24 feet from the stage.
• Private Boxes – Pairs of seats provide a premium view in a semi-secluded setting.
• Show & Dessert-Only – An affordable option in the Grand Suites for those who prefer to experience the spectacle without dinner. Each pair of seats includes dessert service and sweeping views of the show.

To ensure the evening’s seamless service and theatrical flow, seating is assigned by the maître d’ on the day of the show, and groups must purchase tickets together to be seated together.
