DURHAM, NC — November 1, 2021 —Big Band of Brothers: A Jazz Celebration of the Allman Brothers Band will come to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on February 20.
Tickets to see Big Band of Brothers: A Jazz Celebration of the Allman Brothers Band in Durham start at $41.50 and are on sale at the Carolina Theatre box office, the venue’s website — www.carolinatheatre.org— and through Ticketmaster.com.
The show will feature jazz interpretations of Allman Brothers Band classics, inspired by the acclaimed album “Big Band of Brothers: A Jazz Celebration of the Allman Brothers”. Released by New West Records in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Allman Brothers Band’s debut, the album features a 10-song set of Allman Brothers Band favorites reimagined for a 16-piece jazz big band.
The Big Band of Brothers live show features Jaimoe (an original member of the Allman Brothers Band) and stars Sammy Miller and The Congregation, with special guests Lamar Williams Jr (the son of Allman Brothers Band bassist Lamar Williams) and Drew Smithers.
The Carolina Theatre requires all guests to show printed proof of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before entering the building. Additionally, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
The Carolina Theatre has also implemented multiple safety measures including upgrading its air filtration systems to purify indoor air quality, adding enhanced cleaning methods and touchless payment options, and increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations around the building.
