DURHAM, NC — November 1, 2021 — Grammy nominated country singer Ashley McBryde brings the “This Town Talks Tour” to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on January 28.
Tickets to see Ashley McBryde with special guest Ashland Craft in Durham start at $29.50 and are on sale at the Carolina Theatre box office, the venue’s website — www.carolinatheatre.org— and through Ticketmaster.com.
Ashley McBryde went from playing country songs in rural biker bars to being nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Country Album with her 2018 major label debut “Girl Going Nowhere”. Her debut also earned her an ACM New Female Artist award, CMT Breakout Artist of the Year, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” Her follow-up album, “Never Will”, earned McBryde a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, along with 2021 ACM nominations for Album of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.
McBryde’s sound can be described as stadium-ready rock-and-roll with a bluegrass wink or two. Her music honors country music’s storytelling heart, featuring witty, confessional, detail-driven songwriting addressing a wide spectrum of blue-collar Southern women’s experience.
The Carolina Theatre requires all guests to show printed proof of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours before entering the building. Additionally, all guests are required to wear a face mask at all times unless actively eating or drinking, regardless of vaccination status.
The Carolina Theatre has also implemented multiple safety measures including upgrading its air filtration systems to purify indoor air quality, adding enhanced cleaning methods and touchless payment options, and increasing the number of hand sanitizer stations around the building.
